How old does my child have to be to participate in Husky Pups?

We prefer children to be ages 3-4.

 

Does my child have to be potty trained?

Yes, and we also ask that parents provide a change of clothes for their child in case of an accident.

 

What does my child learn at Husky Pups?

The high school teachers are designated to create a specific lesson plan based on the theme of the week and what center they have for that week. Children will learn basic shapes, numbers, letters, songs, and many real world situations that are incorporated with lessons.

 

Is there recess time?

Yes, after the children have snack they are able to play outside for 30 minutes.

 

What are the requirements for high school students to become teachers?

Each student working in the preschool must take and pass an ECE level one class where they are taught how to properly teach and take care of young children. In addition, they take multiple DCF (Department of Children and Families) assessments and courses in order to learn developmentally appropriate practices for the preschool.
