Our Program at Hagery High
What we are all about:
Hagerty High School's Husky Pups Preschool is a high school student run program. The teachers in the program have taken, and passed, the Early Childhood level one class. In this class the students are trained to write proper lesson plans, actively teach children, and meet all the requirements necessary to be a successful teacher in our preschool. The teachers are able to move on to the levels two, three and four where they get to put their skills to the test and play an active role in the Husky Pup Preschool.
Our program at Hagerty will encourage the Husky Pups enrolled to think actively and improve on their basic skills. Each Husky Pup will learn the alphabet and how to pronounce each letter, the numbers one through twenty, the basic shapes and colors, the days of the week, how to properly clean up, and all the while exposing the children to a social environment to help the child improve on a personal level. The theme of the week changes weekly to encourage the children's curiosity and understanding of the world around them. Lesson plans are based off of the weekly theme, and they range from learning about shapes to going on fun scavenger hunts!
The program we have here at Hagerty is made to encourage your child to explore and learn new skills and for high school students who are interested in pursuing a career in the educational field. The future teachers in this program are on the path to following their dreams due to their experience at the Husky Pup Preschool.
